Half-duplex support enables your 100Mbps NIC to operate at speeds up to 100Mbps. Full-duplex support enables your 100Mbps NIC to operate at speeds up to 200Mbps. Volition fiber optic NICs support cable lengths up to 2 km. This easily exceeds today's generic cabling standards for fiber cable length requirements of up to 300 meters. Using the advantage of optical fiber cabling with the Volition NIC reduces the need for intermediate wiring closets between your data center and your PCs.
